Brooklyn is a mecca for so many emerging artists and our enormous (and very cool) space is a wonderful venue for exhibitions. We are always looking for new artists to show with us and our membership is as diverse as the borough.

• our weekly email newsletter (members’ opportunities and announcements)
• acceptance into at least two shows.

DUES:
The 2010 membership dues are $120. Special New Artist dues (for members 18-24 years old) is $50, plus an additional six
hour work shift.
WORK REQUIREMENT:
BWAC is a volunteer organization and most all work is done is done by the artists/members. Twelve (12) hours of work is required for each show in which you exhibit. If you select show-sitting (Exhibition Committee) you wil be able to select your work shift at Registration/Set-Up. Shifts can be changed without penalty if done 48 hour in advance.
This is the minimum work requirement. Most members put in extra hours when needed. Some put in many, many extra hours for the benefit of the whole organization. If you want to affect the direction in which BWAC moves, please take a leadership position. The influence of your voice is dependent on the size of your contribution.
WORK WAIVER FEES:
You may pay an $10 per hour work waiver fee in lieu of working. You will be charged $12 if you miss a schedule work shift with canceling by email 48 hours in advance.
COMMISSION:
BWAC takes 25% commission on all artwork sales.
EXHIBIT AT YOUR OWN RISK:
BWAC does not have insurance for artwork and assumes no liability for any work that is damaged or lost Exhibit at your own risk. Consult your agent for property insurance. All work must be picked on the schedule pick-up days after each show, or they become the property of BWAC.
