Decades-long friend and benefactor of BWAC, Greg O’Connell has passed away at the age of 83. Without him, there would never have been a Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition in Red Hook.

Heavy Metal is an exhibition of contemporary artists who use metal as a primary material in their work. From traditional techniques such as cast sculpture to more recent technologies such as laser engraving artists have long used metal as a source material and medium.
The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC Gallery) invites artists to submit work for an upcoming exhibition titled The Art of the NuYoRICAN Soul: A Love Letter from the Diaspora to the Island – a visual celebration of Puerto Rican identity, resilience, and cultural pride.
This summer member artists explore how motion can be seen through art. Whether it’s the sweep of a brushstroke, the suggestion of change, or the rhythm of repeated forms.
