Julia and Fiete Stolte, "Stars and Times"

$6,679.00

Textile (2026)
59x51x59 in.

The sculpture creates an imaginary site of reorganization between space, time, and order.

A situational reordering, the seemingly chaotic distribution suggests movement. The cut-out stars resemble celestial bodies—planets that attract and repel each other in a kind of constellation. Some of these bodies appear to fall out of the frame.

Suspended like a flag, the two-tone canvas offers a subtle glimpse into the space beyond. Depending on the viewer’s perspective, a third dimension emerges.
